Zillon®
Phytotron began its antiviral programme in 2000. Zillon builds plant immunity against vector-spread viral disease: leaf curl in chilli, tomato, cotton and papaya; mosaic and yellow-vein mosaic in soybean, mung, okra and cucurbits. Preventive framing, always, like a child's treatment given in advance, not a cure after the fact.
Phytotron holds sales permissions for Zillon as an anti-viral and prophylactic treatment; it is ICAR approved.

How Zillon is used.
| Crop / use | Rate | When |
|---|---|---|
| Vegetables with leaf curl or yellow mosaic (tomato, chilli, capsicum, okra, cucurbits) | 2 ml/L · severe infection 3-4 ml/L in 300 L of water per acre | 12-15 days after planting, again within 15 days, then at 45 days. Dosages vary by crop; this is the rule of thumb |
| Banana | 2.5 ml/L | 15-20 and 45-50 days |
| Label (maize) | 750 ml/ha | Three foliar applications |
